# Select excluded

The action will select excluded values in a field.

A Field can be entered manually or selected by clicking the <img src="/files/-LbWqqA3M4yuV4ioisW9" alt="" data-size="original">button.

The “Soft lock” parameter will allow you to override the locked selections.

A Qlik expression can be used in the “Field” parameter by prefixing it with an equals sign.
